Yes, the school provides accommodation. Private and shared flats are available. The school handles all matters relating to accommodation - finding a flat (usually near the school or metro line), rental agreements, scheduling repairs, communicating with landlord/lady, etc. School flats include all the basic ammenities (e.g. refridgerator, cooker, teapot, washing machine, iron, TV, telephone, bed).

Yes, you can opt out of the school accommodation. If you choose to do so, the school will pay you a flat stipend as per your contract. The stipend is set at an amount which should allow you to find accommodation comparable to what the school would provide. It is advised that you have good Russian and/or Ukrainian if you are going to look for accommodation alone. There are services which can help you, but they charge extra money.
