FAQs > Working at LSE > How many hours will I work?
The maximum number of teaching hours is 24 per week. In addition, there are approximately 2 non-contact hours every week. This includes a brief teachers’ meeting every second Monday, plus teacher development seminars and workshops. If you are teaching less than 24 hours, you may be interesting in extra training to do placement testing, resource-work and/or taking on other academic responsibilities. You may also be asked to cover lessons on occasion.
