The LSE Lending Library

The LSE lending library offers students a wide variety of English-language books, DVDs and magazines, which allow learners to expand their English skills in their free time. Most of our students take out Penguin graded readers, which are books that have been rewritten so as to be appropriate for students at a particular level. Some of our more advanced students try their hand at authentic texts; we try to select authentic literature in English which is contemporary, accessible and interesting.

The most popular section of the library is DVDs. We currently stock several hundred comedies, dramas, action and adventure films, music videos and childrens DVDs, so there’s plenty to choose from. Many of our students opt to watch films at home with English subtitles - a great way to expand your vocabulary. Definitely check out the New Releases section; we are constantly updating it with the latest popular films.

The library is located in room 347, so feel free to drop in and check us out. Membership is included with enrolment, and Inna will be more than happy to help you choose something appropriate for your level.
